Anantara Expands Luxury Hospitality Worldwide

Anantara Hotels & Resorts began with the launch of Anantara Hua Hin Resort in Thailand, focusing on culturally immersive luxury experiences connected to local heritage and destination storytelling.

The hospitality group later expanded across Thailand before entering international markets with the opening of its Maldives resort in 2006.

Industry analysts say the Maldives property helped establish Anantara’s reputation for combining luxury accommodations with marine experiences, wellness programs and environmental tourism.

The brand subsequently expanded into the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe, developing properties focused on destination-based experiences and cultural integration.

Tourism experts note that luxury hospitality brands increasingly focus on experiential travel as travelers seek immersive stays connected to local culture, wellness and sustainability.
