Ashore Oceanfront Hotel Joins Marriott Tribute Portfolio
Ashore Oceanfront Hotel joins Marriott Bonvoy and Tribute Portfolio, expanding luxury beachfront hospitality in Ocean City Maryland.
Ashore Oceanfront Hotel Marriott Tribute Portfolio expansion marks a significant development in Ocean City’s growing hospitality market as the beachfront property officially joins the Marriott Bonvoy rewards ecosystem.
Located along Coastal Highway in Ocean City, Maryland, the hotel now allows Marriott Bonvoy members to earn and redeem loyalty points through Marriott’s booking platforms. The property is also preparing to officially become part of Marriott International’s Tribute Portfolio collection in the coming months.
Industry analysts believe the move reflects Marriott’s continued strategy of expanding its soft-brand portfolio through independently styled lifestyle hotels in key leisure destinations.
To celebrate the affiliation, the property is offering guests 3,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points per night for stays booked through the end of 2026.
The hotel features 250 renovated guestrooms and suites, including 15 multi-room suites designed for family travelers, groups, and extended leisure stays.
Each room includes private balconies with water views, high-speed Wi-Fi, mini-fridges, coffee makers, 55-inch televisions, and upgraded bathrooms with quartz countertops and dimmable backlit mirrors.
Hospitality experts note that modern leisure travelers increasingly prioritize upgraded in-room experiences, wellness-focused amenities, and beachfront accessibility when selecting accommodations.
The property recently underwent major renovations ahead of its Marriott affiliation.
Upgrades included refreshed event venues, redesigned lobby spaces, improved dining outlets, an upgraded fitness center, and enhancements to other guest-facing facilities.
The hotel now offers more than 40,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space.
Its largest ballroom spans 7,500 square feet and can accommodate up to 1,000 guests, positioning the property as a major venue for weddings, conferences, and social events in Ocean City.
Additional event venues include the Waterfront Beach Pavilion, The Shore Deck, and oversized oceanfront ballrooms.
Industry observers believe demand for beachfront event destinations continues growing as travelers increasingly seek destination weddings and experiential group gatherings.
Dining remains a central feature of the property’s hospitality offering.
The Tide Room restaurant received Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence in 2025 and was also recognized in Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards.
Other dining venues include Wahoo Beach Bar, The Shore Deck, The Taproom, and Ashore Things café.
Guests can additionally enjoy beachside food and beverage service directly from lounge chairs and umbrella setups along the beachfront.
The resort-style amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, firepits with Adirondack seating, surfing lessons, fishing adventures, and access to multiple nearby golf courses.
Hospitality analysts suggest lifestyle-focused beachfront resorts are increasingly emphasizing experiential tourism offerings beyond traditional accommodations.
The property is managed by Stonebridge and is owned through a joint venture involving Certares Real Estate Management LLC, Monomoy Property Ventures LLC, and Highlands Investments LLC.
Industry experts believe Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio continues attracting independent hotels seeking global distribution support while maintaining unique local identity and design character.
Ocean City remains one of Maryland’s most important coastal tourism destinations, attracting leisure travelers, event groups, and family vacationers throughout the year.
The Ashore Oceanfront Hotel Marriott Tribute Portfolio affiliation is expected to strengthen the property’s visibility among international travelers while expanding Marriott’s leisure hospitality footprint across key beachfront markets in the United States.
