CAMO Hospitality Raises $4 Million: Now Scaling Hotel Room Service
CAMO Hospitality raises $4 million in seed funding to expand its hotel room service platform across US markets and reclaim in-room food spending.
CAMO Hospitality raises $4 million in seed funding to fix what most hotel guests quietly gave up on. Room service trays arrive cold. Menus are outdated. Prices are steep. Hotels did not lose in-room dining because guests stopped wanting food. They lost it because the economics collapsed.
Kevin Rohani, CAMO's founder and chief executive officer, said it directly. "Guests never stopped wanting food delivered to their rooms. The traditional model just became too expensive and operationally complex for most hotels to support." CAMO was built to solve that. Now the seed capital gives it room to scale.
CAMO Hospitality Raises $4 Million: What the Platform Does
CAMO manages the hotel room service experience end to end. Ordering technology, local kitchen fulfillment, delivery logistics, and guest support all sit inside the platform. Hotels receive order-level data on guest purchases. Timing patterns and spending behavior across a stay are also tracked. This hotel room service platform gives hotels insight they currently have no way to gather.
US hotel guests spend roughly five billion dollars on restaurant deliveries to hotel rooms annually. Most flows through third-party apps. CAMO calls this digital hotel room service territory that hotels built but handed to outside platforms without realizing it.
CAMO Hospitality Funding: Why Investors Said Yes
Anthony Lacavera, chairman of Globalive, joined the CAMO Hospitality funding round. His reasoning was precise. "Hotels have digitized everything except the transaction that happens inside the room. That is a large market with no incumbent. CAMO is building the infrastructure to own it."
Digital check-in exists. Keyless entry works. Smart room controls are spreading. Yet no platform has claimed in-room food ordering as a hotel-owned experience. CAMO Hospitality raises $4 million specifically to fill that gap before a larger player does.
CAMO Hospitality Raises $4 Million: The Brand Argument
Paul Tuscano sits on CAMO's advisory board. He is also a former Marriott executive. His concern is not just revenue. "Hotel brands invest millions to make the guest's experience just right. To handoff the in-room moment to an outside marketplace kills the guest's relationship with the brand. CAMO keeps the guest experience on brand and inside the hotel ecosystem."
A guest ordering through DoorDash builds loyalty with DoorDash. The hotel captures nothing. No data. No repeat booking signal. No brand credit. CAMO fixes that by keeping the hotel room service technology inside the hotel's own system.
Revenue Share Model Behind the Hotel Room Service Platform
CAMO operates on a revenue share basis. Fixed fee structures stay out of the picture. Hotels typically earn between one thousand and five thousand dollars in net monthly profit through the model. Over sixty properties across six US markets currently use the platform. Rohani said the funding targets broader portfolio rollouts with larger brands and management companies.
Digital hotel room service at this scale is still rare. CAMO Hospitality funding now enables the company to reach the brands and management groups where portfolio-level adoption becomes possible for the first time.
Hotel Room Service Technology Within the Wider Hospitality Investment Cycle
Hospitality brands are investing across every layer of the guest experience simultaneously. Coverage of how Wyndham is expanding into India's branded residences market shows how operators think about the long-stay guest experience at a product level. CAMO addresses a shorter, more transactional gap. Both reflect the same underlying truth. Hotels that own more of the guest journey keep more of the relationship.
Five billion dollars in annual US hotel room food delivery spending left the hotel ecosystem gradually. CAMO Hospitality raises $4 million to start bringing it back, one property at a time, then one portfolio at a time.
