Tulare, California, April 16, 2026 — The International Agri-Center has issued a request for proposals (RFP) inviting developers to design, build, and operate a full-service 200-room hotel on its Tulare campus, aiming to expand on-site accommodation capacity for more than 175,000 annual visitors attending its events.
The proposed hotel development is intended to support the growing scale of activities hosted at the venue, including the globally recognised World Ag Expo, while enhancing convenience and overall experience for exhibitors, attendees, and business partners visiting the site throughout the year.
200-room hotel planned to support large-scale events
The project centres on the development of a full-service property with approximately 200 rooms, designed to provide integrated accommodation within the International Agri-Center campus. The initiative reflects increasing demand for on-site lodging, particularly during major events that attract large visitor volumes.
According to the organisation, the addition of a hotel is expected to streamline event logistics and improve accessibility for participants, eliminating the need for off-site accommodation and reducing travel time for guests attending multi-day events.
The World Ag Expo remains the flagship event hosted at the venue, drawing significant domestic and international attendance. However, the facility also supports a diverse calendar of activities throughout the year, reinforcing the need for consistent lodging infrastructure.
