ITC Hotels Fortune Nashik: ITC signs two Fortune hotels in Maharashtra
ITC Hotels Fortune Nashik: ITC Hotels signs Fortune Select Nashik and Fortune Jungle Resort Tadoba, expanding in Maharashtra across key destinations.
Mumbai, India, April 2026: ITC Hotels has announced the signing of two new properties under its Fortune Hotels brand in Maharashtra, reinforcing its expansion strategy in the state with projects in Nashik and Tadoba, targeting both urban and nature-led tourism segments.
Twin Signings Strengthen Maharashtra Presence
The company confirmed the addition of Fortune Select Nashik and Fortune Jungle Resort Tadoba as part of its ongoing growth plan focused on high-potential tier II destinations. With these signings, ITC Hotels continues to scale its footprint in Maharashtra, where it already operates six hotels, including two under the Fortune brand.
The move reflects a balanced expansion approach across business, leisure and destination-driven markets. The two projects are positioned to tap into rising domestic travel demand, particularly in locations that combine tourism appeal with improving infrastructure and connectivity.
Fortune Select Nashik to Open with 105 Rooms
Fortune Select Nashik is scheduled to open in October 2028 and will feature 105 rooms. The hotel will include a 24-hour dining restaurant, along with banquet and meeting facilities designed to cater to business travellers, events and social gatherings.
Nashik has emerged as a multifaceted destination, combining religious tourism, leisure travel and urban growth. Known for its vineyards and cultural significance, the city also attracts large-scale pilgrimage traffic, including during events such as the Kumbh Mela. Its proximity to Mumbai and Pune, supported by improving infrastructure, continues to drive consistent hospitality demand.
The addition of a Fortune-branded property in Nashik aligns with ITC Hotels’ strategy to establish a presence in cities that offer a mix of corporate and tourism-driven demand.
Fortune Jungle Resort Tadoba Targets Wildlife Tourism
The second project, Fortune Jungle Resort Tadoba, will be located near the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, one of Maharashtra’s key wildlife tourism destinations. The resort marks Fortune Hotels’ entry into the nature resort segment and will be the brand’s third property in the state.
The development will feature guest rooms designed with a nature-inspired approach, complemented by amenities including a swimming pool, wellness spa and a dedicated children’s play area. Food and beverage offerings will include an all-day dining restaurant and a bar, while event spaces will cater to smaller gatherings and informal functions.
The project is positioned to leverage the increasing popularity of wildlife tourism in India, as travellers seek experiential and nature-focused stays. Tadoba has gained prominence in recent years as a preferred destination for wildlife enthusiasts, contributing to growing demand for quality accommodation in the region.
Expansion Focus on Tier II and Destination Markets
According to ITC Hotels, Maharashtra remains a key growth market, with the company prioritising expansion beyond major metropolitan areas. The focus on destinations such as Nashik and Tadoba highlights a shift towards tapping emerging markets where tourism and economic activity are on the rise.
The dual signing also reflects ITC Hotels’ broader strategy of diversifying its portfolio to include a mix of urban hotels and destination resorts. By targeting both pilgrimage and leisure-driven markets, the company aims to strengthen its presence across different travel segments.
The Fortune Hotels brand, positioned in the midscale segment, plays a central role in this expansion by offering standardised hospitality solutions in markets with increasing demand for branded accommodation.
Growing Demand Drives Regional Hospitality Development
The expansion in Maharashtra comes amid a wider trend in India’s hospitality sector, where growth is increasingly driven by secondary cities and niche tourism circuits. Improved connectivity, infrastructure development and rising domestic travel have contributed to the emergence of new hotel markets across the country.
Destinations like Nashik and Tadoba are benefiting from this shift, attracting both leisure travellers and investors seeking opportunities in less saturated markets. The development of branded hotels in these locations is expected to support the formalisation of the hospitality sector while enhancing the overall guest experience.
With these latest signings, ITC Hotels continues to build a diversified portfolio that aligns with evolving travel patterns and regional demand dynamics, further consolidating its presence in one of India’s most active hospitality markets.
