AMRITSAR, May 18, 2026 — Lemon Tree Hotels opened Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, Amritsar on Thursday, placing a 50-room upper-midscale property within walking distance of the Golden Temple — India's most visited religious site. The launch is the brand's third hotel in Punjab and its latest push into India's high-demand pilgrimage and leisure travel market.

The Keys Select Amritsar hotel sits at the heart of the Golden City, steps from both the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh. It is managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited.

Keys Select Amritsar — Location and Connectivity

The Lemon Tree hotel in Amritsar is located 2.5 km from Amritsar Railway Station and 13 km from Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport. Both the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh are within walking distance, making it a natural fit for pilgrims, leisure travellers, and history visitors.

Amritsar draws millions of visitors every year — domestic pilgrims, NRI tourists from the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, and history travellers visiting the Partition Museum and Wagah Border ceremony. Branded midscale hotel supply in the city has lagged behind demand for years, a gap the Keys Select Amritsar opening directly addresses.

50 Rooms, Keys Café, and Full Business Facilities

The property opens with 50 well-appointed rooms — revised upward from the 45 rooms disclosed in the original BSE regulatory filing in October 2024. Guests have access to Keys Café, an all-day dining restaurant serving Indian and international cuisine, in-room dining, a boardroom, and a fitness centre.

The Keys Select brand occupies Lemon Tree's upper-midscale tier — above budget guesthouses and below full-service properties. For Amritsar's market, that positioning targets the underserved gap between basic pilgrim stays and luxury hotels.

What the Company President Said

"The launch of Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, Amritsar, reflects our continued focus on bringing branded, reliable hospitality to India's spiritual and leisure destinations," said Vishvapreet Singh Cheema, President, Lemon Tree Hotels Limited. "Located in close proximity to the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh, the hotel is well positioned to cater to the city's growing tourism and pilgrimage demand, while further strengthening our presence in North India."

Third Hotel in Punjab, More Signings Follow

The Lemon Tree Hotels Punjab portfolio now counts three properties with the Amritsar launch. The group recently signed a new Keys Select property in Jalandhar, signalling a deliberate cluster strategy across the state. Both properties run under the Carnation Hotels asset-light managed model.

Lemon Tree Hotels signed over 50 new properties across India in 2026 and now operates more than 130 hotels across 80-plus cities — India's third-largest hotel chain by portfolio size. The new hotel near the Golden Temple is part of a wider push into Tier-II cities where branded supply remains thin.

Why Amritsar's Pilgrimage Tourism Market Matters

Amritsar is not a seasonal destination. The Golden Temple draws over 100,000 visitors on an average day — more than the Taj Mahal — making it one of India's most consistent hotel demand generators. According to the Ministry of Tourism India, Punjab recorded over 20 million domestic tourist visits in the last reported year, with Amritsar accounting for the largest share.

International NRI visitors add a second layer of steady, year-round demand. For a hotel near the Golden Temple in Amritsar, that footfall is built-in and growing — precisely the market Lemon Tree is now banking on.

How to Book

Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, Amritsar is open for bookings through Lemon Tree Hotels' official website, its loyalty programme, and all major online travel platforms. Guests arriving by rail reach Amritsar Railway Station, 2.5 km away. Those flying in use Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport, 13 km from the property.

Based on Lemon Tree Hotels' official announcement dated May 8, 2026, and SEBI regulatory filing under Regulation 30 of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015.
