Millennium Hotels Hosts ‘Ignite’ India Roadshow Across 3 Cities
Millennium Hotels and Resorts completes a three-city ‘Ignite’ roadshow in India, strengthening trade partnerships and highlighting global expansion plans.
Millennium Hotels and Resorts (MHR) has concluded a three-city ‘Ignite’ roadshow across Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Delhi, reinforcing its strategic focus on India as a key outbound travel market. The initiative brought together a seven-member global delegation representing Asia, Europe, and the United States.
Three-city roadshow targets India travel trade
The roadshow, conducted under MHR’s global engagement platform ‘Ignite’, was designed to strengthen relationships with the Indian travel trade through direct, on-ground interaction. The delegation was led by Paul Er, Vice President, GSO and Sales Asia, along with representatives from key international properties across Singapore, Phuket, Penang, Europe, and the United States.
The initiative highlighted the company’s intent to build deeper partnerships in India, moving beyond transactional engagement toward long-term collaboration with travel partners.
India identified as a major growth driver
Millennium Hotels positioned India as a critical growth engine, supported by strong demand across corporate, leisure, and MICE segments. The company noted that India’s outbound travel market continues to expand rapidly, requiring tailored strategies and localized engagement.
The group emphasised that India’s travel ecosystem is relationship-driven, with a need for consistent in-market presence to understand evolving customer expectations, including food preferences and service responsiveness.
Global portfolio spans 150 properties
Millennium Hotels and Resorts currently operates approximately 150 properties worldwide across Asia, Europe, the United States, and the Middle East. Its Southeast Asia presence includes six hotels in Singapore with over 2,600 rooms, while Europe accounts for around 20 hotels, including multiple properties in London, Paris, and Rome.
In the United States, the group operates about 14 hotels, including four in New York. Upcoming developments include a new hotel in Sunnyvale, San Francisco, scheduled to open in September. The company also maintains a strong footprint in New Zealand with 18 properties and over 15 hotels across the Middle East.
Tailored offerings introduced for Indian travellers
To cater to the growing Indian outbound segment, MHR has introduced customised initiatives such as the ‘Namaste’ programme. The offering includes Indian television channels, breakfast options, newspapers, and culturally relevant in-room services.
Some international properties have also integrated Indian dining options, reflecting the group’s effort to enhance comfort and familiarity for Indian guests across global destinations.
Regional portfolios highlight scale and diversity
In Europe, the company manages a portfolio of 22 hotels across the UK, France, and Italy, with a mix of large inventory hotels and boutique-style properties in prime locations. In New York, its four Manhattan properties collectively offer around 1,800 rooms, catering to both group and leisure segments.
Singapore remains a key hub with six properties, including lifestyle brands such as M Social and Studio M, offering a combined inventory of approximately 650 rooms in riverfront locations.
Meanwhile, M Social Resort Penang, which reopened in July 2025 after refurbishment, features 317 rooms, with a significant proportion of twin-bedded inventory designed to accommodate group and MICE demand. The property also offers event spaces capable of hosting up to 350 guests.
The roadshow concluded with a renewed focus on strengthening India partnerships and leveraging the country’s outbound growth to drive business across the group’s global portfolio.
