Minor Hotels Signs Two Thailand Resorts for Major Expansion
Minor Hotels signs two Thailand resorts to strengthen its presence in Southern Thailand tourism and expand luxury hospitality growth across Asia. The agreement with Rasa Group introduces new lifestyle resort experiences in Koh Samui and Koh Phangan.
Minor Hotels Expands Southern Thailand Tourism Portfolio
Minor Hotels announced the signing of two beachfront resorts in Thailand through a partnership with Rasa Group. The new properties include Colbert Collection Koh Samui and Avani Koh Phangan.
The agreement supports Minor Hotels’ expansion strategy in Southern Thailand tourism while introducing the Colbert Collection brand to Asia for the first time.
Koh Samui Resort Joins Colbert Collection
Colbert Collection Koh Samui is located on Chaweng Beach and currently operates as Buri Rasa Village Samui. Minor Hotels will officially begin managing the property from May 1, 2026.
The luxury resort features 32 beachfront rooms alongside dining venues, a swimming pool, fitness center, and spa facilities. Additionally, the property is located only 15 minutes from Samui International Airport, making it highly accessible for travelers.
Renovation work will continue through 2026 before the full rebranding launches in early 2027.
Avani Koh Phangan Supports Luxury Hospitality Growth
Minor Hotels also signed Avani Koh Phangan, a 63-room beachfront property located on Thong Nai Pan Noi Beach. The resort currently operates as Buri Rasa Village Phangan.
The property will offer multiple accommodation categories, including oceanfront and pool access rooms. Guests will also enjoy dining venues, a beachfront swimming pool, AvaniKids club, and AvaniFit gym.
Importantly, the resort sits beside Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villas, strengthening Minor Hotels’ hospitality presence in the region.
Thailand Travel Industry Continues Expanding
The Thailand travel industry continues attracting strong international tourism demand, particularly across island destinations such as Koh Samui and Koh Phangan.
Minor Hotels believes the new projects will support tourism growth while expanding lifestyle and soft-brand hospitality experiences in Asia. The partnership with Rasa Group also reflects increasing investment confidence in Southern Thailand tourism.
Luxury Hospitality Growth Shapes Regional Development
Luxury hospitality growth remains a major driver of Thailand’s tourism economy. International hotel brands increasingly invest in experiential resorts, wellness tourism, and beachfront lifestyle destinations.
Travelers now seek personalized resort experiences that combine relaxation, local culture, and premium hospitality services.
