Minor Vacation Club rebrand has officially been announced by Minor Hotels as the company aligns its vacation ownership business more closely with its expanding international hospitality portfolio.

Previously operating as Anantara Vacation Club, the business will now function under the new Minor Vacation Club identity as part of the broader Minor Vacations platform. The rebrand reflects the company’s evolving vacation ownership strategy and expanding access to experiences beyond a single hotel brand.

Minor Hotels stated that the renamed club will continue serving as its primary global timeshare and vacation ownership product while offering members access to a wider portfolio of hospitality experiences.

Originally launched more than 15 years ago, Anantara Vacation Club was closely associated with the Anantara luxury hospitality brand. However, the company noted that the membership offering has significantly expanded over time to include multiple hospitality brands within the Minor Hotels ecosystem.

Members can currently access properties and experiences connected to brands including Anantara, Elewana, Avani, and Oaks, alongside dining, wellness, and lifestyle services beyond accommodation stays.

Dillip Rajakarier, Group CEO of Minor International, stated that the Minor Vacation Club rebrand reflects the evolution of the company’s hospitality business and creates a more flexible platform for delivering wider destination and travel experiences.

According to Minor Hotels, the transition process will be implemented gradually to ensure continuity for existing members, guests, and hospitality partners. The company added that service standards and membership benefits currently offered through Anantara Vacation Club will remain unchanged during the transition.

Industry analysts note that hospitality groups are increasingly consolidating sub-brands under stronger parent identities to simplify brand positioning, strengthen loyalty ecosystems, and create unified customer experiences across larger global portfolios.

The announcement also includes plans to launch two new Japan vacation club resorts later in 2025, marking another major step in Minor Hotels expansion strategy across Asia.

Japan continues attracting significant hospitality investment due to rising international tourism demand, premium travel experiences, and strong inbound visitor growth. The addition of Japanese resorts is expected to strengthen Minor Vacation Club’s geographic presence while expanding travel choices for members.

Experts believe global vacation ownership and timeshare businesses are evolving toward experience-focused models offering greater flexibility, multi-brand access, and lifestyle-oriented benefits beyond traditional accommodation stays.

Minor Hotels currently operates more than 550 hotels, resorts, and serviced residences across 58 countries, making it one of the world’s largest hospitality groups spanning luxury, upscale, and midscale travel segments.

The Minor Vacation Club rebrand highlights the company’s broader strategy of integrating hospitality, loyalty, and vacation ownership experiences into a unified global travel ecosystem.
