Royal Orchid signs 36-room Regenta Z Vrindavan hotel under management contract, opening scheduled April 2027
Royal Orchid Hotels has signed a 36-room Regenta Z property in Vrindavan under a management contract, with opening scheduled for April 2027.
Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd. has signed a 36-room Regenta Z hotel in Vrindavan, Mathura, under a management contract, with the project scheduled for completion by April 2027, as the company expands its footprint in India’s religious tourism segment driven by sustained demand for organized accommodation.
The upcoming property will be developed under the Regenta Z brand and positioned as a boutique hotel catering to pilgrims and leisure travellers visiting the Mathura-Vrindavan circuit. The signing aligns with the company’s broader strategy to target high-footfall spiritual destinations across the country.
36-room boutique hotel planned under Regenta Z brand
The hotel will feature 36 rooms along with supporting amenities designed for short stays and pilgrimage-driven travel. Planned facilities include a multi-cuisine restaurant and a banquet hall, intended to serve families, group travellers and small gatherings such as religious functions and social events.
The property is being developed as a boutique-format hotel under the Regenta Z brand, which focuses on compact, design-led properties in emerging and high-demand locations. The company indicated that the hotel will follow its established operational standards while adapting to local travel patterns.
Strategic location near key religious landmarks
The project site is located in Vrindavan, a major spiritual hub near Mathura, approximately 6 kilometres from Prem Mandir and about 10 kilometres from Mathura Railway Station. The location provides access to a well-established pilgrimage circuit that sees consistent visitor inflow throughout the year.
Vrindavan and Mathura together attract millions of domestic travellers annually, driven by religious tourism, festivals and cultural events. The company has identified the location based on its proximity to key landmarks and steady demand for accommodation.
Asset-light model under management contract
The hotel will be owned by Sachin Aggarwal and operated by Royal Orchid Hotels under a management agreement. This structure reflects the company’s asset-light expansion strategy, which enables it to scale operations without direct investment in property ownership.
Under this model, Royal Orchid provides branding, operational management and service standards, while the asset owner retains ownership of the property. The company said this approach allows faster expansion in high-demand markets while maintaining consistency across its portfolio.
Focus on religious tourism demand growth
The signing is part of Royal Orchid Hotels’ strategy to strengthen its presence in destinations driven by religious travel. According to the company, increasing interest in spiritual tourism is contributing to rising demand for reliable and standardized hospitality services.
Chander Baljee, Chairman and Managing Director, said the project represents a step toward expanding the brand’s footprint in pilgrimage destinations, where visitor volumes continue to grow and require organized accommodation options.
Industry activity in regions such as Vrindavan and Mathura has increased in recent years, with hotel operators targeting these markets due to consistent demand patterns and improving infrastructure connectivity.
Project timeline and current development status
The Regenta Z – Vrindavan hotel is currently in the development phase, with completion targeted for April 2027. Once operational, the property will add to Royal Orchid’s portfolio in tier-II and pilgrimage-focused destinations.
The company said it continues to evaluate opportunities in locations with stable demand drivers, including religious tourism hubs and emerging leisure markets, as part of its ongoing expansion strategy.
With sustained visitor inflow to the Mathura-Vrindavan circuit, the addition of branded boutique accommodation is expected to support demand for organized hospitality offerings catering to both individual travellers and group segments.
