Saudi hospitality expansion is accelerating rapidly in 2026 as luxury hotel openings, airport connectivity upgrades and large-scale tourism projects continue transforming the Kingdom’s tourism landscape. From Riyadh and Jeddah to the Red Sea and AlUla, Saudi Arabia is emerging as one of the fastest-growing hospitality destinations in the Middle East.

The latest hospitality developments highlight Saudi Arabia’s focus on luxury tourism, infrastructure growth and destination diversification. Major hotel brands, tourism authorities and developers are actively expanding premium hospitality offerings across multiple regions.

How Saudi Hospitality Expansion Is Transforming Tourism

Adeera Hospitality has launched recruitment for its first luxury hotel project in Riyadh’s King Abdullah Financial District. The property will include premium dining venues, private lounges and curated local experiences designed for business and luxury travellers.

The recruitment drive includes operational and management positions across finance, reservations, front office, concierge, food and beverage, IT and guest services. Adeera Hospitality was established by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund to develop local hospitality brands across various market segments.

At the same time, Red Sea International Airport is preparing for increased Eid Al-Adha travel demand by expanding its flight schedule between May 21 and May 31, 2026. The airport will provide more than 15,000 seats across domestic and international routes, improving access to luxury Red Sea destinations.

Saudia Airlines will operate additional domestic flights from Riyadh and Jeddah, while flydubai and Qatar Airways will strengthen international connectivity from Dubai and Doha.

Luxury Resort Openings Continue Across Saudi Arabia

Saudi hospitality expansion is also visible through major luxury resort openings on the Red Sea coast. Four Seasons has appointed experienced leadership teams for its upcoming Red Sea and AMAALA properties as the company strengthens its presence within Saudi Arabia’s luxury tourism sector.

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Red Sea at Shura Island is scheduled to officially open on May 20, 2026. The property will feature 149 rooms and suites, private residences, wellness facilities, multiple restaurants, event spaces and family-oriented experiences.

The resort is powered entirely through renewable energy and will also offer regenerative tourism activities including coral restoration and mangrove conservation programmes. Sustainability continues becoming a key pillar of Saudi Arabia’s tourism development strategy.

In Jeddah, TAIBA officially launched Rixos Obhur Jeddah along the Red Sea coastline. The resort includes luxury villas with private pools, a marina, entertainment facilities, wellness centres and international dining venues.

The property introduces the Rixos “All-Inclusive, All-Exclusive” hospitality concept to Saudi Arabia while supporting employment opportunities and tourism growth within the Kingdom.

AlUla Focuses on Sustainable Tourism Growth

Saudi hospitality expansion also includes long-term destination planning in AlUla, where tourism development is being carefully managed through preservation-focused strategies.

The Royal Commission for AlUla continues prioritising low-density hospitality projects, protected heritage zones and high-value visitor experiences instead of large-scale mass tourism expansion. The destination expects to welcome nearly 330,000 visitors this year.

AlUla aims to reach approximately 1,000 hospitality keys by the end of 2025 while requiring an additional 4,300 keys by 2030 to support future demand across MICE tourism, weddings, luxury travel and cultural experiences.

Industry experts believe Saudi Arabia’s tourism transformation is creating significant opportunities for hospitality investment, luxury tourism growth and international visitor expansion.

Saudi hospitality expansion demonstrates how the Kingdom is positioning itself as a leading global tourism destination through integrated infrastructure, sustainable development and premium hospitality experiences.
