Angry Toast Opens in Bandra With Mini Sandwiches and Micro Roastery
Angry Toast Bandra introduces 3-inch sandwiches, specialty coffee and an in-house micro roastery in Mumbai.
MUMBAI, July 18, 2026 — Angry Toast has opened its first outlet on Waterfield Road in Bandra, introducing a compact café concept centred around three-inch handcrafted sandwiches and specialty coffee roasted in-house. The 450-square-foot café combines grab-and-go convenience with a premium coffee programme, aiming to offer quick yet high-quality meals for Mumbai's fast-paced lifestyle.
Founded by hospitality entrepreneur Kedarnat Shetty, the new venture marks the latest addition to the Blabber Hospitality portfolio. The concept focuses on simplified menus, consistent quality and compact store formats, with plans to expand across Mumbai before entering Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
Angry Toast Bandra Reinvents the Everyday Sandwich
The café's signature offering is its three-inch sandwich format, served in pairs to encourage guests to try multiple flavours without ordering oversized meals. Designed for commuters, shoppers and office-goers, the sandwiches are easy to eat while on the move.
The vegetarian menu features options including Mumbai Toastie, Paneer Tikka, Spinach & Ricotta, Thai Paneer, Basil Pesto Burrata, Four Cheese & Vindaloo and Avocado Chipotle. The non-vegetarian selection includes Chicken Katsu, Jerk Chicken, Angry Toast Spicy Chicken, Anda Ghotala, Smashed Lamb and Avocado & Chicken. Honey Butter Toast rounds off the menu for those looking for a sweet option.
Specialty Coffee Takes Centre Stage
Alongside its food menu, Angry Toast houses an in-house micro coffee roastery, an uncommon feature for a café of its size. The coffee programme is led by Suhas Dwarakanath, a World Barista Championship semi-finalist and one of India's leading specialty coffee professionals.
The café uses the South Korean-built S7 Pro 850g coffee roaster, capable of roasting fresh coffee beans in around 10 minutes with high consistency. The menu includes more than 20 coffee and matcha beverages featuring beans sourced from Belur, Ratnagiri, Odisha and Coorg.
Signature drinks include the Vietnamese Eggnog Coffee, Mont Blanc, Pandan Latte, Genius Latte inspired by Parle-G biscuits and the Taro Latte made using imported taro. Prices for signature beverages range between ₹200 and ₹300.
Founder Shares Vision for Scalable Café Concept
"I've spent over a decade in hospitality watching brands scale fast and lose the thing that made them worth visiting in the first place. With Angry Toast, we made a deliberate choice to do fewer things and do them so well that people have no reason to go anywhere else," said Kedarnat Shetty, Founder of Angry Toast.
Shetty added that the long-term goal is to expand the brand across India's major metro cities while maintaining consistency in both sandwiches and coffee.
Minimal Design Meets Grab-and-Go Convenience
The interiors feature deep red tones, ambient lighting, floating merchandise shelves and artwork centred around the café's mascot, Ziko, an expressive character designed to reflect the brand's playful identity. While seating is limited to a handful of guests, the café primarily caters to takeaway customers.
Located near ICICI Bank on Waterfield Road, Angry Toast operates daily from 9 am to 11 pm.
