PHOENIX, June 30, 2026 — Michelin-recognized Indian restaurant Nadu opens this week at Desert Ridge Marketplace in Phoenix, introducing regional Indian cuisine to the North Phoenix dining scene.
The restaurant, led by Michelin-starred Chef Sujan Sarkar and Executive Chef Pujan Sarkar, welcomed its first guests over the weekend, expanding its acclaimed concept beyond its original Chicago location, which has been added to the 2025 Michelin Guide for its cuisine and service.

The new Nadu at Desert Ridge Marketplace brings a menu inspired by diverse culinary traditions found across India, including dishes from coastal, northern and southern regions. The concept, whose name means “homeland,” reflects the team’s focus on traditional techniques and seasonal ingredients.
Executive Chef Pujan Sarkar said the restaurant aims to showcase the depth of India’s regional cuisines with approachable presentations and carefully sourced produce. The menu includes a range of à la carte dishes and a Regional Kebab Program featuring live-fire cooking with clay tandoors and charcoal grills.
Desert Ridge Marketplace expands with global dining options
The opening of Nadu adds to a larger wave of new restaurants at Desert Ridge Marketplace in 2026, including other international concepts planned throughout the year. The dining destination at 21001 N. Tatum Blvd. continues to position itself as a culinary hub in North Phoenix.
