Restaurant Brands Asia Fined in Agra for Food Safety Breach

The Agra authority’s action centres on an alleged non-compliance with standards set by the food safety regulator. The company’s filing under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements noted that the penalty arose from a procedural breach under Section 26(2) of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

Restaurant Brands Asia Ltd is a publicly traded company and master franchisee of the Burger King brand in India. It operates quick service restaurant outlets across the country and has been subject to wider corporate developments this year, including an approved stake acquisition by a consortium led by Lenexis Foodworks.
