Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi appoints Kevin Danet and Liam Nealon to lead its food and beverage operations during its 125th anniversary.
HANOI, August 4, 2026 — Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi has appointed Kevin Danet as Director of Food and Beverage and Liam Nealon as Director of Culinary, strengthening its leadership team as the iconic luxury hotel marks its 125th anniversary. The appointments support the hotel's continued focus on delivering elevated dining experiences across its restaurants and bars throughout 2026.
The new leadership team will oversee the property's culinary strategy, food and beverage operations and guest dining experiences while expanding the hotel's calendar of gastronomic events during its anniversary celebrations.
Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi strengthens its culinary leadership
Kevin Danet steps into the role of Director of Food and Beverage after serving nearly two years as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at the hotel. With more than a decade of hospitality experience in Vietnam, he will oversee the hotel's eight food and beverage venues, including the renowned French fine-dining restaurant Le Beaulieu.

Liam Nealon brings global culinary expertise
Liam Nealon joins the hotel as Director of Culinary, bringing 25 years of international experience across Australia, Asia and Europe. Before joining the Metropole, he served at Four Seasons Resort Bali, where he developed a reputation for showcasing quality ingredients and natural flavours.
"I am particularly passionate about collaborating closely with service teams to foster meaningful guest connections and memorable moments," said Liam Nealon, Director of Culinary, Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi.
Hotel marks 125 years with expanded dining experiences
