Derek Hiscoke joins Residence Inn by Marriott Vancouver Airport as General Manager with 30 years across Marriott, Delta Hotels and luxury UK properties.

VANCOUVER — Derek Hiscoke has been appointed General Manager at Residence Inn by Marriott Vancouver Airport. He joins as the property prepares for its opening, bringing over 30 years of global hospitality leadership across Canada and the United Kingdom.
Hiscoke holds an MBA from Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland, where he graduated as Valedictorian. He also holds FIH status as a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality.
Derek Hiscoke Led Hotels Across the UK and Canada
He served as General Manager at The Chelsea Harbour Hotel and Spa in London, a 158-key five-star all-suite urban resort in Chelsea. He also held GM roles at Sopwell House in St Albans and ARC The Hotel in Ontario, Canada.
At Delta Hotels and Resorts he served as General Manager in British Columbia. At Millennium Hotels and Resorts in London he managed revenue, sales, HR and full operations as Hotel Manager.
Early in his career he served as Director of Operations at Thistle Hotels in St Albans. That posting laid the foundation for a leadership career built across boutique, branded and luxury hotel formats across two countries.
Derek Hiscoke Held Multiple Roles at Marriott International
His earlier Marriott career covered Director of Operations in Calgary, Task Force Director of Rooms Operations in Calgary and Acting General Manager and Director of Operations in Waltham Abbey in the UK. Each posting placed him at the senior operational level across different Marriott property types.
Outside hotel operations, Hiscoke co-founded PHD Asset Management Hospitality, a firm focused on improving hotel operations through corporate culture strategy. He also founded InnovatioGroup, a hospitality consultancy delivering business solutions across the service industry.
He is a certified executive coach and career development coach. His professional work outside general management covers leadership development and mentoring across the hospitality sector.
