AUCKLAND — Jeffrey Lee has been appointed General Manager at Abstract Hotel in Auckland. He brings 23 years of hospitality leadership experience across Hilton Hotels and Fable Group properties in Australasia.
Lee joins from Fable Hotel Dunedin, where he served as General Manager. The five-star property won Best Luxury Hotel at the Hospitality NZ Awards in 2021 and the Grand Business South Award for Excellence in Service in 2022 under his leadership.
Jeffrey Lee Built Career Across Hilton and Fable Group in Australasia
His career spans senior leadership roles at Hilton Hotels in Auckland, Brisbane and Lake Taupō. He also held positions with Fable Group Hotels in Auckland and Dunedin. He completed director training at Hilton Brisbane.
His experience covers hotel operations, strategic leadership and team development across luxury and boutique hotel formats in New Zealand and Australia. Two decades across those markets gives him a strong read on what drives guest experience and team performance in Australasian hospitality.
Jeffrey Lee Brings People-First Leadership to Abstract Hotel
Abstract Hotel sits at the corner of Upper Queen Street and Karangahape Road in Auckland. The boutique property offers 270 rooms, a Terrace Bar, covered Winter Garden, library area and an Italian restaurant called Alla Prossima. It features celebrated New Zealand art across its shared spaces.
Lee returns to Auckland with a clear vision for the property. He wants guests to feel Abstract is part of the city's creative community around K Road, Ponsonby and the Domain.
