NAGPUR — Le Méridien Nagpur has appointed Shridhar Ashtankar as Director of Sales and Marketing. He brings a career spanning both India and the United Kingdom, with leadership experience across Oberoi Hotels, Hilton, Radisson Hotel Group and Tuli Hotels.

In his new role, Ashtankar leads the commercial function at Le Méridien Nagpur, a 199-room five-star property on Wardha Road. His remit covers sales strategy, business development, market positioning and team leadership across the hotel's commercial operation.
A Career That Started at Oberoi and Crossed International Markets
Shridhar Ashtankar began his hospitality career with Oberoi Hotels and Resorts in Mumbai. He then moved to Hilton London Canary Wharf in the United Kingdom as an F&B Supervisor. That international posting gave him early exposure to a large-scale city hotel in one of London's busiest business districts.
After returning to India, he transitioned into sales with Tuli Imperial in Nagpur as Assistant Sales and Marketing Manager. He then joined Pride Hotel Nagpur in a similar capacity before moving to Radisson Blu Nagpur.
Nearly a Decade at Radisson Blu Nagpur in Growing Sales Roles
Ashtankar spent close to a decade at Radisson Blu Nagpur, progressing through Senior Sales Manager and Associate Director of Sales before reaching Director of Sales. That kind of sustained upward progression within one property reflects consistent commercial delivery over time.
Most recently, he contributed to the pre-opening and launch of Radisson RED Chandigarh Mohali. Working on a pre-opening team requires setting up sales systems, building account bases and executing market entry strategy from scratch — a different challenge from managing an established commercial operation.
