Suraj Shiva Vaigankar Appointed VP and Head of HR at Uniliv

NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh — Uniliv has appointed Suraj Shiva Vaigankar as Vice President and Head of Human Resources, bringing more than a decade of HR leadership in the hospitality sector to the role.

Vaigankar will lead strategic HR planning, compensation management and talent acquisition workflows as part of Uniliv's growth plans.

Suraj Shiva Vaigankar Brings Decade of Hospitality HR Leadership to Uniliv

Vaigankar most recently served as Chief Human Resources Officer at The Hosteller, where he led HR strategy and operations for more than 70 hostels across India. During that period, he onboarded over 1,000 employees in a year and a half and reduced attrition from 12 percent to 5 percent within six months. He managed an 18-member team and oversaw monthly payroll exceeding 4.5 crore rupees.

Before that, he held the role of Senior Human Resources Manager at The Hosteller, managing policy design, compliance and payroll structuring for more than 30 hostels nationwide.

Career Spans Casino Hospitality and Multi-Property HR Operations

Suraj Shiva Vaigankar served as HR and Operations Head at Queen of Hearts Pvt. Ltd., operator of Big Bull Casino in Gangtok, Sikkim, where he managed a five-member HR team across casino hospitality workflows.

He spent several years with Golden Globe Hotels Private Limited, part of the Big Daddy chain of casinos in Goa, holding progressively senior roles including Assistant Manager Human Resources and Senior Executive Human Resources. His responsibilities there covered cross-departmental HR pipelines, recruitment, labor law compliance, performance evaluations and employee engagement.

Early Career Built Foundation in Recruitment and Compliance

Earlier roles include Human Resources Executive at Career Planners Goa, where he managed recruitment and payroll processing for international clients through HRMS platforms, and Junior Executive Human Resources at Travelpack India, handling onboarding, exit formalities and statutory compliance including PF and ESI.

He began his HR career as a Human Resource Assistant at Casinopride, supporting employee lifecycle management, statutory compliance, welfare activities and payroll.

Academic Background and Areas of Expertise

Suraj Shiva Vaigankar is an alumnus of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut. His core areas of expertise include strategic HR planning, compensation management, employee relations, HR metrics and bulk hiring.
