Ugur Talayhan named General Manager of The Grand Tarabya Hotel Managed by Accor in Istanbul, bringing three decades of luxury hospitality experience.
ISTANBUL, Türkiye — The Grand Tarabya Hotel Managed by Accor has named Ugur Talayhan as General Manager, bringing more than three decades of international luxury hospitality leadership to the property as it prepares for a rebrand to Fairmont.
Talayhan steps in to lead operational continuity through the transition phase.
Ugur Talayhan Brings Three Decades of Global Hotel Leadership to Istanbul
Talayhan joins from Fairmont The Palm in Dubai, where he served as General Manager. Before that, he held the role of Country Manager for Türkiye, Eastern and Central Europe at Rotana Hotel Management Corporation.
His career includes more than seven years with Accor, where he served as Vice President Operations overseeing the company's entire Türkiye portfolio of over 60 hotels, and earlier as Regional Vice President for Luxury Brands in Türkiye and General Manager of The Bosphorus Swissotel Istanbul.
Career Spans China, Dubai, Portugal and the UK
Ugur Talayhan previously served as Managing Director of Luxury Collection, Westin and Sheraton brands in Tianjin, China, and as General Manager of Raffles Hainan in Sanya. He also held General Manager roles at The Westin Xian and Hotel Manager at St Regis Beijing.
Earlier postings include Executive Assistant Manager at Le Royal Meridien Dubai, EAM and Food and Beverage roles at PineCliffs Resort Luxury Collection Complex in Portugal, and both Director of Food and Beverage and Executive Head Chef at Sheraton Skyline in London.
Career Marked by Multiple Industry Awards
Ugur Talayhan's properties and leadership have earned a wide range of industry recognitions over the years, including Istanbul's Most Star Hotel for The Grand Tarabya, Outstanding Hotel General Manager honors during his China tenure, and multiple awards for Raffles Hainan, The Westin Xian and Sheraton Skyline.
He trained at Westminster Kingsway College and has built expertise in strategic profit and loss control, rebranding and multi-property transitions, luxury guest relations and large-scale food and beverage execution.
