He also worked as General Manager at The Bodhi Palace Resort, Bodh Gaya, and held leadership roles at The India Benares and The Fulbari Resort & Spa, Nepal, managing multi-department hotel operations and business performance.
Early Career and Professional Development
Earlier in his career, Chandel held senior operational roles including Front Office Manager at Ramada Plaza JHV Varanasi and Assistant Front Office Manager at Le Royal Meridien Chennai. He began his career with Holiday Inn and Renaissance Goa Resort, progressing through supervisory and managerial positions.
He holds a diploma in hotel management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Gwalior, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Osmania University, the company said. The India’s 50 Best General Managers 2026 awards are currently in the nomination stage, with evaluation ongoing.
