Christopher and Suzanne Sharp don't look like the sort of people who met on the grungy Piccadilly Line platform of London's Earl's Court station. But they did, more than 40 years ago, when they were both 21. That chance meeting eventually led to a shared life in business and design, and much later, to a very different kind of project entirely, an 18th century palazzo in the Maltese town of Attard now known as Casa Bonavita Malta.
From Rugs to a Villa With History
Before Casa Bonavita, the Sharps built The Rug Company, a design business they eventually sold, closing one chapter of their working lives together.
