HALONG BAY, May 25, 2026 - InterContinental Halong Bay Resort has announced a senior leadership transition as the luxury property strengthens its position within Vietnam’s expanding premium tourism sector. The move comes as Halong Bay continues attracting rising numbers of international and domestic travelers seeking high-end coastal hospitality experiences.

The beachfront resort, which opened in July 2025, remains the only internationally branded luxury property directly overlooking the UNESCO-listed Halong Bay. The resort said the leadership change will support its focus on guest experience, destination-led hospitality and long-term market expansion.

Tourism authorities recorded approximately 8.2 million visitors to the region in 2025, supported by infrastructure improvements and stronger transportation connectivity across northern Vietnam.

The resort features 275 rooms, suites and villas designed around panoramic bay views and destination-focused experiences. Facilities include six restaurants and bars, rooftop hospitality venues, wellness spaces, swimming pools and family-oriented recreation areas.

InterContinental Halong Bay Resort is also expanding its meetings and events strategy through more than 4,500 square metres of indoor and outdoor event space, including the Tonkin Ballroom and waterfront venues.
