Marriott International Lima Hotels Expand Luxury Hospitality
Marriott International Lima hotels expansion adds Ritz-Carlton Lima and JW Marriott Hotel Lima to Peru’s luxury hospitality sector.
Marriott International Lima hotels expansion is set to strengthen Peru’s luxury hospitality market with the conversion of two major hotel properties scheduled for completion in 2028.
Marriott International announced plans to transform the existing JW Marriott Hotel Lima in Miraflores into The Ritz-Carlton, Lima, while the current Westin Lima Hotel & Convention Center in San Isidro will become the new JW Marriott Hotel Lima.
The project reflects Marriott International’s strategy to expand its luxury hospitality portfolio across South America while supporting Lima’s growing reputation as a premium global travel destination.
The future Ritz-Carlton Lima will become the brand’s second property in South America. The luxury hotel brand already operates properties across destinations including Mexico, Costa Rica, Chile, and the Caribbean.
Located in Miraflores, the upcoming Ritz-Carlton Lima will position itself within one of the city’s most vibrant tourism districts known for luxury shopping, coastal attractions, fine dining, and nightlife experiences.
At the same time, the new JW Marriott Hotel Lima in San Isidro will target business travellers and convention guests visiting Lima’s commercial district. San Isidro remains one of the city’s leading corporate and financial hubs, attracting international business activity throughout the year.
The hotel conversion project also supports Lima’s expanding meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions sector, commonly referred to as MICE tourism. Marriott International aims to strengthen its premium business hospitality offerings through upgraded accommodation and convention-focused facilities.
Luxury hospitality demand across Peru has continued growing due to increasing international tourism, culinary travel, and urban leisure experiences. Lima is becoming particularly attractive to global travellers because of its cultural heritage, world-renowned gastronomy, and modern hospitality infrastructure.
Marriott International stated that the Lima developments align with the company’s long-term investment strategy in high-growth travel markets across Latin America. The company already operates luxury hospitality properties in destinations including Cusco and Paracas.
Industry experts believe luxury hotel expansion projects like Ritz-Carlton Lima and JW Marriott Hotel Lima will further elevate Peru’s position within South America’s premium tourism sector.
As global hospitality brands continue investing in Lima, the city is strengthening its image as a destination capable of blending luxury travel, business tourism, and cultural experiences within one dynamic urban environment.
