New Delhi, May 6, 2026: Not Rocket Science has rolled out a ready-to-drink Protein Water in India, packing 22 grams of whey protein isolate with an electrolyte mix into a 500ml bottle. The move puts the brand straight into the functional beverage race, sitting right between hydration and protein.

The product comes in three variants, Lemon Lime, Mango Orange, and Mixed Berry. It’s built as a light, grab-and-go drink for consumers who want both hydration and nutrition in one shot.

No sugar. No fat. No artificial flavours or preservatives.

22g whey isolate and up to 1300mg electrolytes per bottle

Each 500ml bottle carries 22 grams of whey protein isolate.

Alongside that, up to 1300mg of electrolytes. Potassium, magnesium, sodium, and chloride all in the mix, aimed at hydration and recovery.

There’s also 5 grams of BCAAs per serving. That’s squarely targeting muscle recovery and endurance.

Calories stay tight.

Lemon Lime comes in at 115 kcal with 1300mg electrolytes. Mango Orange drops slightly to 107 kcal with the same electrolyte load. Mixed Berry sits at 110 kcal with 1200mg electrolytes.

And importantly—it doesn’t feel heavy.

Designed as a hybrid between sports drink and protein shake

This is where the product is trying to stand out.

It’s not a thick, milk-based protein shake. And it’s not just a sports drink either.

Using whey isolate keeps it clear. Lighter. Easier to drink during or after activity.

That’s the gap brands are chasing, combining hydration and protein without turning it into a heavy drink.

Sweetness comes from erythritol and stevia.

And it’s FSSAI certified, so it clears regulatory checks.

Targeting active consumers and frequent usage occasions

The flavour profile is built for repeat use.

Not overly sweet. Not tiring after one bottle.

That matters when consumers are drinking this across workouts or long training days.

The 500ml PET bottle keeps it simple, easy to carry, easy to use.

Gyms, sports setups, or just daily routines, it’s meant to fit everywhere.

Founder Arjun Patel says the challenge was clear: combine hydration and protein without ruining taste or texture.

Whey isolate, he says, solved that, fast absorption, low fat, and works in a clear drink.

Expanding functional beverage category in India

The timing isn’t random.

India’s functional beverage space is heating up fast. Fitness awareness is up. So is demand for multi-use products.

Consumers don’t want separate drinks for hydration, energy, and recovery anymore.

They want one bottle that does more.

Protein water is still a small category here.

But that’s exactly why brands are moving in now.

Zero sugar. Clean label. Portable.

That’s the pitch.

And with this launch, Not Rocket Science is betting that convenience, and not just nutrition, will decide what wins on the shelf.
