Outrigger Resorts & Hotels has launched its Premier Suite Collection, a global portfolio of beachfront villas and suites spanning Hawaii and multiple international destinations, as part of a broader transformation strategy that includes a planned reinvestment of $250 million to $300 million across its Hawaii resorts.

Global suite portfolio launched across key resort destinations

The Premier Suite Collection brings together high-end accommodations located across Outrigger’s beachfront properties in Hawaii, alongside international destinations including Fiji, Thailand, Mauritius, and the Maldives. The portfolio focuses on large-format, residential-style units designed to cater to evolving traveller preferences, particularly among luxury and multigenerational segments.

The collection features suites and villas characterised by expansive layouts, upgraded interiors, and access to premium amenities. At select properties, guests also gain entry to the Voyager 47 Club Lounge, adding an additional layer of exclusivity within the offering.

Hawaii portfolio anchors collection with large-format suites

Hawaii remains central to the rollout of the Premier Suite Collection, with multiple properties contributing key inventory. These include multi-bedroom suites at Outrigger Honua Kai Resort & Spa, the 2,500-square-foot Royal Huakaʻi Suite at Outrigger Kona Resort & Spa, and high-end units such as the Coral Reef Penthouse Suite and the 10,000-square-foot Grand Navigator Suite at Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort.

The emphasis on larger accommodations reflects a strategic pivot toward group travel and extended stays, where guests seek more space, privacy, and residential-style amenities. These configurations are designed to support gatherings, positioning the product for family travel and premium leisure segments.

$250–300 million reinvestment supports multiyear transformation

The launch of the Premier Suite Collection forms part of a wider, multi-year transformation plan across Outrigger’s resort portfolio. The company is currently executing a reinvestment programme valued between $250 million and $300 million, primarily focused on upgrading its Hawaii assets.

This capital deployment is aimed at repositioning the brand within the upper upscale and luxury segments, aligning product offerings with changing demand patterns. The upgrades include renovations, design enhancements, and the introduction of new accommodation formats such as the Premier Suite Collection.

According to company leadership, the initiative reflects a deliberate shift toward higher-value guest segments, particularly as luxury travel continues to outperform other market tiers.

Luxury demand and multigenerational travel driving strategy

The introduction of the collection is closely linked to broader demand trends in the hospitality sector. Increasing interest in multigenerational travel, combined with a preference for residential-style stays, has influenced the design and positioning of the new portfolio.

Guests are increasingly seeking accommodations that combine the space and flexibility of private residences with the service and amenities of full-service resorts. The Premier Suite Collection is structured to meet this demand, offering larger living areas, multiple bedrooms, and integrated resort access.

At the same time, the strategy aligns with a wider industry shift toward premiumisation, where operators are investing in higher-end products to capture growing luxury travel spend. This trend is supported by changing global wealth patterns, which continue to drive demand for upscale and luxury hospitality experiences.

Competitive positioning within Hawaii’s evolving luxury market

Outrigger’s move comes amid increased activity in Hawaii’s luxury hospitality segment. Other major operators are also expanding their presence and upgrading offerings in the region, reflecting sustained demand for high-end resort experiences.

The company’s focus on suite and villa-style accommodations positions it to compete within a segment that is seeing heightened investment and brand repositioning. By integrating larger, premium units into its portfolio, Outrigger aims to strengthen its appeal among high-spending leisure travellers and group segments.

The Premier Suite Collection is expected to play a central role in the brand’s long-term strategy, supporting both revenue growth and market positioning as it continues to evolve its global resort portfolio.
