MUMBAI, May 22, 2026: Ennismore has opened Roswyn in Mumbai as India's first Morgans Originals hotel, bringing the lifestyle brand's design-led, personality-driven hospitality model to the country for the first time through a 109-suite all-suite property adjacent to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

Developed by Shrem Airport Hotels, the property is part of a broader Ennismore-Accor lifestyle strategy for India and sits alongside the existing Fairmont Mumbai under a unified commercial leadership structure, an arrangement that connects two distinct hotel identities under a single general manager while preserving each brand's independent character.

What is Roswyn, and what it is not

Roswyn was designed around the rhythms of working city life rather than the traditional hotel stay. Large-format suites, dining venues suited to lingering, a social workspace, and longevity-led wellness facilities form the property's core offering, a physical environment where business meetings, longer stays, impromptu dinners and personal wellness coexist without friction.

The hotel's airport adjacency is intentional but does not define it. The property is positioned as a genuine Mumbai destination, connected to the city's energy rather than removed from it, where a short stopover can extend naturally into a more considered stay as plans shift and schedules stretch.

Blu Xone: India's first longevity-focused wellness concept

The standout amenity at Roswyn is Blu Xone, described as India's first longevity-focused wellness concept within a hotel. The offering moves beyond conventional spa programming into a structured approach to physical and mental wellbeing rooted in longevity science, a segment of the wellness industry that has gained significant commercial traction globally as affluent urban travellers increasingly seek health outcomes rather than relaxation alone from hotel wellness facilities.

Blu Xone's programming format and treatment menu were not fully disclosed at launch, but the concept's positioning as a longevity-first offering distinguishes it from the spa-and-fitness formats standard across most Indian luxury hotel properties.

Shrem Group and the owner's brief

Nitan Chhatwal, Chairman and Managing Director of Shrem Group, said the project was conceived as a place guests would want to return to beyond its function as accommodation, for dinner, meetings or simply a pause in the day. "Mumbai moves quickly, but people still look for places where they can slow down, meet, and spend time together," Chhatwal said. "With Roswyn, we wanted to create something that feels easy to return to, whether that's for dinner, conversations, or simply a pause in the day."

Gaurav Bhushan, Group CEO of Ennismore and Chairman of Accor India, was present at the opening alongside Chhatwal and General Manager Rajiv Kapoor, reflecting the significance of the India Morgans Originals debut to Ennismore's regional growth plans.

Shared GM leadership with Fairmont Mumbai

Roswyn and Fairmont Mumbai operate under a shared general manager, Rajiv Kapoor, with Annam Lubana serving as Hotel Manager of Roswyn. The arrangement consolidates commercial functions, sales, revenue management, marketing and digital strategy, across both properties while maintaining each brand's distinct identity and guest experience.

Kapoor described Roswyn as a "home for business" and framed Mumbai's character as the context that shaped the property's design brief. "Mumbai is the New York of India," he said. "People come here with a purpose. Roswyn gives them everything they need under one roof, a place to work, rest, and look after their wellbeing without losing time moving between offices, hotels, and meeting spaces."

Accor South Asia frames the opening as a lifestyle portfolio milestone

Ranju Alex, CEO of Accor South Asia, said the Roswyn opening marks a significant step in the company's commitment to building a lifestyle-led hotel portfolio in India. "With Roswyn, we are not just introducing a new hotel, but a vibrant destination designed to integrate seamlessly into the cultural fabric of the city," Alex said. "This launch underscores our commitment to expanding our lifestyle portfolio in India, in partnership with Ennismore, and delivering distinctive experiences that resonate with the modern traveller."

Ennismore, in which Accor holds a majority stake, operates lifestyle and independent-spirit hotel brands including The Hoxton, SLS, Gleneagles, Hyde and SO/ alongside Morgans Originals. The Roswyn opening is its first Morgans Originals property in India, with the brand's pipeline elsewhere covering Europe and the United States.
