Shake Shack Brazil: 40 Locations Planned by 2036
Shake Shack Brazil launches with Bold Hospitality Company, opening in São Paulo in 2027 and planning 40 locations by 2036.
Shake Shack Brazil is set to become a reality under a new licensing agreement with São Paulo based Bold Hospitality Company. The US fast casual chain plans to open 40 locations across the country by 2036. The first restaurant will open in São Paulo in 2027.
The news was reported by Verdict Foodservice. Shake Shack says Bold Hospitality has built strong ties with communities across Brazil through its restaurants. More about the brand is on the Shake Shack website.
Shake Shack Brazil Partnership With Bold Hospitality
Shake Shack says its partner's knowledge of the Brazilian market makes it well placed to launch the brand. Bold Hospitality Company CEO Pierre Berenstein calls Shake Shack one of the most admired brands in hospitality. He says the deal marks an exciting new chapter for his company.
Berenstein says both companies believe great food and genuine hospitality create memorable moments. His team is honoured to build the brand in Brazil with care and long term commitment.
Shake Shack Brazil Expansion Plans Through 2036
Michael Kark, president of Shake Shack Global Licensing, shared the rollout plan. The company aims to open 40 locations by 2036. The first store will arrive in São Paulo in 2027.
Kark says Brazil has long stood out as one of the most requested markets. He points to its passion for food, lively culture and meaningful hospitality. In his view, that makes it a natural fit for the brand.
This Shake Shack Latin America expansion builds on seven years in Mexico. A launch in Panama is also planned. Shake Shack says Brazil will be the next major stage in its regional growth.
What the Shake Shack Brazil Menu Will Offer
The menu is expected to include brand favourites. These include the ShackBurger, Chicken Shack, crinkle cut fries and frozen custard. Products with local flavours will sit alongside them.
In line with its purpose to Stand For Something Good, Shake Shack will work with Brazilian producers and suppliers. This supports local sourcing as the brand enters a new market.
Shake Shack Brazil Joins a Growing Global Footprint
Shake Shack opened its first restaurant in 2004 at Madison Square Park in New York City. It now runs more than 740 locations worldwide. Around 475 are in 36 US states and the District of Columbia. More than 265 are international sites.
