Angelo's has officially opened in Reading town centre, introducing a new Italian dining destination at Friar's Walk in the Station Hill development. The restaurant welcomed its first guests on June 26 and marks the latest venture by restaurateur Angelo Colao, who aims to bring traditional Italian cuisine with a modern approach back to the heart of the town.

New Italian Restaurant Opens at Station Hill

The restaurant occupies a 1,069-square-foot unit on Friar's Walk within the Station Hill area. Angelo's offers a menu inspired by classic Italian cooking while incorporating contemporary touches, reflecting the concept's promise of serving traditional dishes with a modern twist.

The opening follows the signing of a 15-year lease for the premises, which was announced in April 2025, paving the way for the restaurant's launch in Reading's evolving town centre.

Experienced Restaurateur Returns to Reading Centre

Angelo's is the latest business launched by restaurateur Angelo Colao, who previously established the well-known Reading restaurants Topo Gigio and Dolce Vita. With the new opening, Colao returns to the town centre, expanding his presence in the local hospitality market.
