Taj City Centre Gurugram has announced the appointment of Chef Akshay Kumar as its new Executive Chef, marking a bold step in enhancing the hotel’s culinary excellence. With over 15 years of experience across iconic Taj properties, Chef Akshay brings a powerful blend of innovation, consistency, and a passion for exceptional dining experiences.

Driving Culinary Innovation

In his new role, Chef Akshay Kumar will be responsible for shaping and executing the hotel’s overall culinary strategy. He will lead the hotel’s dining operations by crafting distinctive menus, curating seasonal experiences, and delivering seamless execution across all food and beverage venues.

Trained at IHM Chennai and a graduate of the prestigious Taj Management Training Program, Chef Akshay began his culinary journey at the renowned Taj Palace, New Delhi. Over the years, he has held key roles at several Taj properties across the country, showcasing his versatility and mastery of both global and Indian cuisines.

He is also the recipient of notable accolades including the Best Chef – Continental Cuisine award by the Ministry of Tourism, Telangana (2023), and the Thai Select Signature Certification by the Royal Thai Government for his work at Thai Pavilion.
