MUMBAI — The Westin Mumbai Garden City has appointed Chef Mohammad Ali Haideria as Executive Chef, bringing over 19 years of culinary leadership across India, the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain to the 268-room Marriott International property in Goregaon East.

Ali Haideria joins from The Westin and Le Meridien City Centre Bahrain, where he served as Complex Executive Chef. His work there earned him a place on Hozpitality's Best 30 Chefs in the Middle East list for 2025, a competitive recognition within the Gulf's culinary community.
His career across the Middle East and India has covered some of the hospitality world's most demanding kitchens. He has held senior culinary roles at Waldorf Astoria, St. Regis, JW Marriott Juhu, Jumeirah Beach Hotel and The Taj Mahal Palace. Each of those properties operates at a different scale and service philosophy, and Chef Ali's career across all five reflects both versatility and consistent delivery at the luxury level.

Chef Mohammad Ali Haideria has collaborated with global culinary figures including Marco Pierre White, Mauro Colagreco and Hari Nayak.
