Chris Collins Appointed Managing Director of Hyatt Hotels Seattle

In his new role, Collins oversees strategic vision, day-to-day leadership, guest experience and commercial performance across Hyatt Regency Seattle, Grand Hyatt Seattle and Hyatt at Olive 8. The three properties together offer more than 2,000 guestrooms, extensive meeting and event space, multiple dining venues and luxury wellness facilities. Located in the heart of downtown Seattle, close to the Seattle Convention Center, Pike Place Market and Lumen Field.

The appointment also marks a return to Seattle for Collins, who held the Director of Sales role for both Grand Hyatt Seattle and Hyatt at Olive 8 earlier in his Hyatt career.

From General Manager of Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch to Seattle

Chris Collins joins from Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch, one of Hyatt's flagship Midwest properties, where he served as General Manager.

Before St. Louis, he served as General Manager of The Driskill Hotel in Austin, within The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. Managing an iconic independent property with a distinct heritage identity is a different challenge from a large-format convention Hyatt, and Collins has done both.

A Hyatt Career Built Across Sales and Then Operations

Chris  started his hospitality career in sales, building commercial leadership across Denver, Princeton, Miami, Seattle, Orlando and Hyatt's corporate office. He then transitioned to hotel operations, taking on General Manager roles at The Driskill and Hyatt Regency St. Louis before this multi-property posting in Seattle.

That path from commercial strategy through to general management and now a multi-property managing director role gives Collins a full operating picture of how a major hotel campus drives revenue, manages teams and delivers guest experience simultaneously.
