Jaiveer Singh Rathore Joins Fairmont Udaipur Palace as Director of People & Culture

Rathore steps into a role that sits at the core of how a luxury property like Fairmont Udaipur Palace functions day to day. His responsibilities cover talent management, employee engagement and organisational development across a property that operates eight dining and drinking venues, over 13,000 sqm of indoor and outdoor event space and a full-scale spa, fitness and wellness offering on an 18-acre estate at the foothills of the Aravallis.

The scope of the role reflects the scale and ambition of the property itself. Fairmont Udaipur Palace opened in July 2025 as Fairmont's second Indian property after Jaipur, operated by Accor in partnership with Keystone Resorts, and positions itself as a destination for leisure travellers, destination weddings and large-scale events.

Jaiveer's Career Across Marriott International and Accor

Jaiveer Singh Rathore's hospitality HR career stretches across close to two decades and covers ground across two of the world's largest hotel groups. He spent more than nine years within the Accor portfolio, working at ibis Jaipur, Novotel Kolkata, Novotel Guwahati, ibis New Delhi Aerocity and Fairmont Jaipur. That run gave him a thorough working knowledge of how Accor manages its people operations across different brand tiers and markets.

He then moved to Marriott International, serving as Director of Human Resources at JW Marriott Hotel Kolkata, where he led HR and training functions covering employee engagement, leadership development and operational HR initiatives at one of the group's flagship city properties in eastern India.

Earlier in his career he also worked with Peerless Hotels, where he served as corporate general manager for human resources across multiple properties, along with stints at Louvre Hotels, Randstad and Vodafone. That wider industry exposure, outside hospitality as well as within it, adds a layer of context to how he approaches people strategy.

Quotes

"Hospitality is built on people and culture. At Fairmont Udaipur Palace, I look forward to contributing towards creating an environment where teams feel empowered, motivated, and inspired to deliver exceptional guest experiences while fostering a strong culture of growth and inclusivity."
