Rahul Korgaokar joins Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Calgary Downtown as General Manager, bringing 20 years across Oberoi, Marriott, Hilton and Aurika.

CALGARY — Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Calgary Downtown has appointed Rahul Korgaokar as General Manager, effective June 15. Tim Reardon, Regional Vice President of Western Canada at Marriott International, announced the appointment.
Korgaokar brings over two decades of general manager and operations leadership across India and Canada.

He steps into the General Manager role at Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Calgary Downtown. He is bilingual and brings a multi-brand background across Marriott International, IHG, Hilton, Aurika and Oberoi Hotels and Resorts.

Before this Rahul Korgaokar served as General Manager within the Marriott International network in the Greater Toronto Area. Prior to that, he was with IHG Hotels and Resorts in Toronto as Acting General Manager and then Director of Operations. He also served as Director of Operations for Marriott International in Muskoka, Ontario.
Professional career and Background
Rahul Korgaokar served as General Manager at Hilton in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, General Manager at Aurika Hotels and Resorts in Udaipur, Rajasthan the luxury brand under Lemon Tree Hotels. Those two postings gave him GM experience across a full-service city hotel and a luxury resort destination in India.
Earlier, he served at Marriott International in the Greater Hyderabad Area, overseeing Hyderabad Marriott Hotel and Convention Centre and Courtyard by Marriott Hyderabad and Marriott International in Goa.
His F&B career foundation was built at Oberoi Hotels and Resorts in Mumbai, where he progressed from Restaurant Manager to Banquet Manager to Assistant Food and Beverage Manager.
He completed a postgraduate qualification in Guest Service Management at the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development.
