Adani Airport IHG partnership will add nearly 1,500 hotel keys across India through luxury and premium hospitality developments.
Adani Airport IHG partnership is set to significantly strengthen India’s hospitality landscape after Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL) signed an agreement with IHG Hotels & Resorts to develop five hotels across four major Indian locations.
The agreement will add nearly 1,500 hotel keys through a combination of luxury, premium, and essential hospitality brands aligned with IHG Hotels India expansion plans.
According to the announcement, the upcoming hospitality projects will be developed across Navi Mumbai, Jaipur, Mangaluru, and Thiruvananthapuram as part of Adani Airport-led urban developments designed around India’s growing aviation infrastructure.
A major highlight of the partnership is the launch of Kimpton Hotels India through a new Kimpton property planned for Jaipur. The agreement also includes Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels integrated into mixed-use airport city developments.
Industry experts believe the Adani Airport IHG partnership reflects the increasing importance of airport city hotels India as aviation-led urban ecosystems continue evolving across major Indian cities.
Pranav Adani, Director of Adani Enterprises Ltd, stated that the Adani Group aims to create integrated travel, hospitality, and urban infrastructure experiences connected to India’s rapidly expanding aviation sector.
He added that collaborations with global hotel brands help support international hospitality standards, operational excellence, and scalable growth opportunities across India’s travel ecosystem.
Sudeep Jain, Managing Director for South West Asia at IHG Hotels & Resorts, noted that India continues offering strong growth opportunities for hospitality development, especially within gateway cities and airport-driven infrastructure projects.
According to IHG, the portfolio will cater to a broad mix of business travellers, transit guests, and leisure tourists through a diversified hospitality strategy across multiple hotel segments.
The introduction of Kimpton Hotels India is also considered a significant milestone for IHG’s luxury lifestyle hospitality expansion in the country. The Kimpton brand is internationally recognised for boutique-style luxury hospitality experiences and personalised guest services.
India’s hospitality sector has witnessed growing investment activity in airport-linked developments due to increasing air travel demand, infrastructure expansion, and rising tourism movement across major cities.
Analysts believe airport-led urban developments are becoming increasingly important within India’s hospitality industry as integrated ecosystems combining hotels, retail, offices, and transport infrastructure gain momentum.
The Adani Airport IHG partnership also highlights confidence in India’s long-term tourism growth, business travel recovery, and infrastructure-driven hospitality opportunities.
With additional discussions reportedly underway for future collaboration, both companies are expected to further expand their presence across high-growth hospitality markets in India.
