April 24, 2026 – Texas Hill Country: Aman has announced the launch of Amansanu, a new resort and branded residential development in Texas Hill Country, marking the group’s sixth property in the United States and its first ranch-inspired destination in the region.
Located northwest of Austin, the project will combine a resort featuring standalone guest pavilions with a limited collection of fully serviced Aman-branded residences. Set across a landscape defined by rolling hills, limestone cliffs and natural creeks, the development is positioned to offer privacy and expansive views across the surrounding valleys.
Project Overview and Location
The Amansanu development represents Aman’s entry into Texas Hill Country, a region known for its natural terrain and increasing appeal as a luxury leisure destination. The site’s topography, including elevated hillsides and water features, has informed the design approach, with an emphasis on integrating built structures into the existing landscape.
The property’s location northwest of Austin places it within reach of a major urban centre while maintaining a remote, retreat-style setting. This positioning aligns with Aman’s broader strategy of developing properties in destinations characterised by natural beauty and cultural identity.
Design and Architecture
The project has been designed by Olson Kundig, with architecture tailored to reflect the region’s environmental conditions and terrain. The design concept focuses on low-density development, ensuring that structures remain connected to the surrounding landscape.
Guest accommodation will consist of standalone pavilions, offering privacy and unobstructed views. The residences, developed on hillside plots starting from ten acres, will feature open-plan layouts and outdoor terraces. These design elements are intended to create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Facilities and Guest Offerings
The resort will include a central lodge serving as the main hub, along with multiple dining venues designed to cater to a range of culinary experiences. A key component of the development is the Aman Spa and Wellness Centre, which will be located along a natural creek, integrating wellness facilities with the surrounding environment.
Additional amenities will include racquet sports courts, hiking trails, and the brand’s first fully serviced stables, introducing an equestrian element to the guest experience. These facilities reflect a focus on outdoor and activity-led offerings, aligned with the ranch-inspired concept of the property.
Branded Residences Component
The residential element of Amansanu will consist of a limited number of fully serviced Aman-branded homes. Positioned on expansive plots, each residence is designed to provide privacy while maintaining access to the resort’s amenities and services.
The inclusion of branded residences reflects a continuing trend in the luxury hospitality sector, where integrated resort and residential developments are used to enhance long-term asset value and diversify revenue streams. The design approach for the residences mirrors that of the resort, with a focus on landscape integration and spatial openness.
Expansion Strategy in the Americas
