Raffles The Red Sea Saudi Arabia Debuts as a New Island Sanctuary
Raffles The Red Sea Saudi Arabia debuts on Shura Island with 168 keys, five dining venues, butler service and a regenerative approach.
Raffles The Red Sea Saudi Arabia has made its debut, offering a new island sanctuary on the northwestern shores of Shura Island. Raffles Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of the resort. It sits between a lagoon and the open sea, with expansive views across the Red Sea. The resort follows the contours of the island.
Raffles The Red Sea Saudi Arabia Design and Rooms
The resort is part of the Coral Bloom masterplan by Foster + Partners. The masterplan was conceived to enhance the natural state of Shura Island. Light filled interiors, layered textures and coastal tones draw the landscape indoors. Terraces, pathways and gardens lead the eye towards the lagoon and open sea.
The property offers 121 guestrooms, 14 suites and 33 private pool villas. This makes it a fitting choice among luxury resorts in Saudi Arabia. The collection suits couples, families and multigenerational groups. Guestrooms open onto private terraces with lagoon or sea views. Every guest enjoys the legendary Raffles Butler Service.
Dining at Raffles The Red Sea Saudi Arabia
The resort has five restaurants and lounges. They draw on Asian cuisine, Eastern Mediterranean traditions and the heritage of the Arabian Peninsula. Ni'ma serves Eastern Mediterranean dishes designed for sharing. Siparaja offers a contemporary take on Raffles' Singaporean roots.
El Nay brings together Pan Arabic mezze, Saudi tea, artisanal coffee and shisha. Anbara gives the Raffles afternoon tea ritual an Arabian inflection. The Pool Bar offers a relaxed setting for families. The dining venues will debut in phases, with specialty restaurants and the bar to follow.
Spa, Culture and Island Activities
Raffles Spa and Wellness will open in a future phase, along with the adults' pool. It will have seven treatment rooms, a hammam, sauna and steam facilities. A vitality pool and an outdoor lap pool complete the offer. For now, guests can use the gym and enjoy padel and water sports.
A dedicated Raffles Curator leads the cultural programme. Guests can explore local art, literature, storytelling and craftsmanship. The children's and teens' centres will open at a later stage. The Curator's Room will host gatherings, celebrations and cultural exchange.
Shura Island and Regenerative Tourism
Guests can play at Shura Links, Saudi Arabia's first 18 hole island golf course. They can also explore the marina and Marina Village. WAMA offers water sports, while Galaxea offers diving and marine discovery. Akun provides land based activities.
The destination follows a regenerative tourism approach. Shura Island is powered entirely by renewable energy. Guests travel from Red Sea International Airport by electric vehicle across the 3.3 kilometre Shura crossing.
