NOTTINGHAM, England, June 20, 2026 — The Greek Brothers, a Greek restaurant operator with a site in Lincoln, is preparing to open a branch in Nottingham city centre within days. The company has taken over a property on Albert Street that previously housed Awesome Chips & Wings.

The opening adds a Greek dining option to a busy part of the city and expands a regional operator that has run sites elsewhere in the East Midlands. The Greek Brothers plans takeaway service alongside seating across multiple floors.

What The Greek Brothers will serve in Nottingham

The menu opens with hot and cold mezze, including halloumi, hummus and Greek grilled sausages, according to the company. Gyros wraps are expected to be among the best sellers, offered with chicken, halloumi or mixed meats, plus a burger version served in pitta with tzatziki, salad and chips.

A mixed grill platter for two features chicken, pork and lamb skewers, chicken gyros and pork sausage with bread and a Greek salad. A children's meal includes a sausage, chicken or chicken nuggets with chips, juice and activity gifts, while the drinks list covers freshly ground coffee, iced coffee and soft drinks.

A 'prime' city centre location

The Greek Brothers was founded by Spyridon Tsichlis and Anthony Christodoulou. The pair are not related but describe themselves as close, Tsichlis said.

Tsichlis said the Albert Street building offered a prime position and space to host private events and business meetings on the upper floors. Recruitment is under way, with the company aiming to open within about 10 days.

The company says it aims to offer Greek gastronomy with music and a vibrant atmosphere, describing the experience as a "delicious journey" comparable to being on a Greek island. Those descriptions reflect the company's own marketing.
