Indian Hotels Company Limited has named Aejaz Shaikh as Hotel Manager at Taj Cidade de Goa Heritage. Shaikh steps into the role after more than 20 years in hotel operations, sales and revenue management across the hospitality industry.
Aejaz was previously Director of Sales and Marketing for both Taj Cidade de Goa Heritage and Taj Cidade de Goa Horizon. His move into hotel management keeps the leadership close to the property and the market he knows well.
Aejaz Shaikh Takes the Helm at Taj Cidade de Goa Heritage
Shaikh's prior role covered commercial strategy across rooms, food and beverage, events and other revenue lines. He managed business from weddings, MICE and leisure travel — three pillars of Goa's hospitality economy.
That background gives him a clear read on how the property earns and where the opportunities sit. Few hotel managers walk into the job already knowing the business this well.
In his new position, he takes charge of day-to-day operations, service delivery and overall property performance at Taj Cidade de Goa Heritage on Vainguinim Beach, Panaji.
Two Decades Across Hotel Operations and Commercial Strategy
Aejaz Shaikh's career covers hotel operations, business development, revenue management and sales leadership. He has worked across both guest-facing and commercial functions over more than two decades.
He holds qualifications from the University of Madras and the University of Mumbai, with studies in business management, marketing and hospitality.
