SERENGETI, Tanzania — Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti has appointed Mary Bowens as General Manager, placing a hospitality leader with more than 25 years inside Four Seasons at the helm of one of the world's most celebrated luxury safari lodges within Serengeti National Park.
Mary Bowens Takes Charge as General Manager at Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti
Bowens steps into the General Manager role at Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti from her previous position as Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles. The Serengeti lodge overlooks an active wildlife watering hole inside the national park, offering guests direct access to one of Africa's most active ecosystems. Her responsibilities cover all lodge operations, guest experience, conservation programming and community engagement within the Serengeti.
Twenty-Five Years Built Entirely Within Four Seasons
Bowens began her career with Four Seasons at the former Four Seasons Hotel Dublin. She has not worked outside the brand since. Over 25 years she has held front office, housekeeping and rooms roles across flagship properties in Chicago, Seattle, Maui, Toronto, Sydney and Bali.
That kind of single-brand, multi-continent career builds an unusually deep operational fluency. Each property taught her something different about how luxury hospitality works across cultures, climates and guest profiles, yet the brand culture running through all of it remained constant.
She holds a degree from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology in Ireland.
