In her new role, Gonzalez oversees the full marketing function at InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile, covering paid digital strategy, social media, brand positioning, performance advertising and cultural partnerships. She also takes responsibility for the marketing of the hotel's dining venues, including Casa Chi and Michael Jordan's Steak House. Both of which she plans to position as defining pillars of the hotel's identity on the Magnificent Mile through curated programming and experiential activations.
Her strategy includes activating around major citywide events, collaborating with global lifestyle brands, introducing localised pop-ups, custom merchandise integrations and developing immersive experiences.
From MLB Performance Marketing to Luxury Hotel Strategy
Noelle Gonzalez joins from the Houston Astros, where she served as Director of Advertising and Digital Marketing. She managed a $1.85 million paid media budget and optimised channel performance across audience acquisition and fan engagement at one of Major League Baseball's most prominent franchises.
Before the Astros, she held performance marketing roles with the Tampa Bay Rays and the Texas Stars. Her work across three professional sports franchises gave her a data-driven, audience-first approach to marketing.
Her hospitality experience includes a role as Marketing Manager at Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach, where she led digital initiatives focused on increasing direct bookings and improving online conversion performance. That combination of sports marketing scale and hotel digital strategy is what she brings to this role.
Leadership Philosophy and Approach
Noelle Gonzalez credits her leadership style to mentorship from key industry figures, including Jason Wooden, Vice President at the Houston Astros. His emphasis on empathy, patience and individual team development shaped how she builds and leads marketing teams. She brings that people-first management approach to InterContinental Chicago as the property enters its next chapter.
Background and Relocation to Chicago
Originally from Key West, Florida, Gonzalez holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Florida Gulf Coast University. She has recently relocated to downtown Chicago with her French bulldog, Atlas. Outside of work she reads widely, games and follows film. She is looking forward to engaging with the city's culture and community as part of her work on the hotel's local programming strategy.
