CHENNAI — The Leela Palace Chennai has appointed Shrikant Patro as Director of Operations, bringing over 14 years of luxury hospitality experience to the 326-room five-star property on Anna Salai. Patro moves into his first Director of Operations role after building a strong F&B career across Marriott International and The Ritz-Carlton.

In his new role, Patro oversees hotel-wide operations at The Leela Palace Chennai. His responsibilities span operational performance, service quality, guest experience and team leadership across one of South India's most prominent luxury hotel addresses. The property is known for its attention to personalised service and its position as a preferred destination for business and leisure travellers on Anna Salai.
Most Recently Director of Food and Beverage at The Ritz-Carlton, Pune
Shrikant Patro joins from The Ritz-Carlton, Pune, where he was elevated to Director of Food and Beverage in early 2024. He had joined the property in 2022 as Associate Director of Food and Beverages. During his tenure at The Ritz-Carlton, Pune, he led the property's F&B operations across its dining venues and event spaces.
His progression at The Ritz-Carlton from Associate Director to Director reflects the same consistency that has defined his career. He arrived at Pune already with a strong track record from JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu, where he served as Director of Restaurants and Bar.
A Career Across Renaissance Mumbai, JW Marriott Sahar, JW Marriott Juhu and The Ritz-Carlton
Shrikant Patro built his F&B foundation at Renaissance Mumbai and JW Marriott Sahar, working across multiple outlet formats from specialty restaurants to high-volume bars. Those early years across two large Mumbai Marriott properties gave him exposure to both guest-experience-focused dining and revenue-driven outlet management.
He then took on the Director of Restaurants and Bar role at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu, one of Mumbai's most prominent five-star hotels. That role led directly to his move to The Ritz-Carlton, Pune. He also held an earlier Assistant Manager role with Marriott International in the Greater Indore Area.
Patro holds a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Administration and Management from the University of Mumbai.
