Westin Chennai Velachery Promotes Nitesh Dubey to F&B Manager
The Westin Chennai Velachery promotes Nitesh Dubey to Food & Beverage Manager after 15 years across Marriott, IHG and Hyatt.
The Westin Chennai Velachery has promoted Nitesh Dubey to Food & Beverage Manager. Dubey joined the hotel in November 2023 as Assistant Food & Beverage Manager and has been running F&B operations on the ground since then, earning this step up after less than two years at the property.
Nitesh Dubey at The Westin Chennai Velachery as Food and Beverage Manager
This is a promotion from within, which says something on its own. Dubey did not come in at manager level, he came in a step below, proved himself across daily operations and guest service delivery, and earned the move up. At The Westin Chennai Velachery, that kind of track record matters. The hotel picked up three awards at the Times Food and Nightlife Awards for its dining venues Madras Kitchen Company, Willows Lounge and Bar, and Seasonal Tastes which gives some sense of the standard the F&B team is held to.
In his new role, Dubey takes full responsibility for food and beverage operations across the property, covering service standards, team management and the overall guest dining experience.
Experience in the Food and Beverage sector
Before Chennai, Dubey spent 15 years building his F&B career across three major hospitality groups. He worked with Marriott International, IHG Hotels & Resorts and Hyatt Hotels, contributing to properties including Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Sheraton Grand and Hyatt Regency.
Each of those is a different brand with a different service philosophy and operational culture. Moving across all three over 15 years means Dubey has worked out how different F&B environments run, what they expect from their teams, and how to adapt to each one without losing consistency.
He holds a Diploma in Hotel Management & Catering Technology from the Institute of Science & Management, Ranchi.
Leadership Statement
Deepraj Mukherjee, General Manager of The Westin Chennai Velachery, was direct about what Dubey has shown since joining the hotel.
"Nitesh has consistently showcased outstanding leadership, operational expertise and an unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction. We are delighted to see him take on this well-deserved role and look forward to his continued contributions to the hotel's success."

Outside the Hotel
Away from work, Dubey spends time with his family, follows his interest in cooking and keeps to what people around him describe as a well-organised way of living. He leads his team the same way he runs his personal life, with a people-first approach and a preference for building teams that actually want to do good work rather than just go through the motions.
