The nomination was announced in April 2026 as part of the ongoing evaluation process by Hospitality Career Profile.

Nomination and Current Role

The nomination acknowledges Rathore’s current role as General Manager at The Aviyaan Luxe Serenity, where he has been serving since February 2024. The property operates as a wellness resort in Lucknow, catering to hospitality and leisure segments.

According to the company, he is responsible for overseeing overall resort operations, including guest services, departmental coordination and financial performance.

Operational Responsibilities and Scope

Rathore manages budgeting, forecasting and profit and loss performance while ensuring operational efficiency across departments. His role includes supervising food and beverage operations, event management and service delivery standards.

The company said he also leads team development, monitors operational benchmarks and ensures compliance with hospitality standards and safety protocols.

Prior to his current role, Rathore served as General Manager – Corporate Operations for Tree of Life Resorts and Hotels under The Indian Hotels Company Limited from April 2023 to January 2024. He also held the position of Deputy General Manager – Corporate Operations at the same group.

His responsibilities included managing multi-property operations, aligning business strategies and overseeing performance across resort portfolios.

Career Background and Industry Experience

Rathore has over 12 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with expertise across food and beverage management, culinary operations and hotel administration. He has held leadership roles with Radisson Hotel Group and Hilton, including Director of Food and Beverage and Executive Chef positions.

His experience spans domestic and international assignments, including roles in the United Arab Emirates and Tanzania, managing high-volume hospitality operations and multi-unit teams.

Early Career and Professional Development

Rathore began his career with The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts as a management trainee and progressed through culinary and operational leadership roles. He later served as Executive Chef at multiple properties, handling kitchen operations, menu development and team management.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management from Welcomgroup School of Hotel Administration, the company said. The India’s 50 Best General Managers 2026 awards are currently in the nomination phase, with candidates under evaluation based on operational performance and leadership. The process is ongoing.
