The nomination acknowledges Kapoor’s current role as General Manager at Mercure Lucknow Gomti Nagar, an Accor property where he has been serving since July 2024. The hotel features 109 rooms, four food and beverage outlets and four banquet halls.

According to the company, he led the pre-opening phase and operational launch of the property, working with ownership and corporate teams to establish the hotel in line with brand standards.

According to available records, the hotel was positioned among the top five performers in the Lucknow market within its first year of operations under his leadership. He achieved budgeted revenue and profitability targets aligned with forecasts.

The property also recorded over 90% scores in brand audits and maintained annual reputation scores above 90%, reflecting adherence to operational standards and guest satisfaction benchmarks.

Career Background and Industry Experience

Kapoor has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with leadership roles across India and the United Arab Emirates. Prior to his current role, he served as General Manager at Sarovar Portico Surajkund, Delhi NCR, from January 2023 to June 2024.

During that tenure, he increased revenue by 16% year-on-year and reduced staff attrition by 20% through training and engagement initiatives, according to performance records.

Earlier Roles and Professional Background

Earlier in his career, Kapoor held senior positions including Director of Food and Beverage at Hyatt Centric Chandigarh and Food and Beverage Manager roles at Hyatt Pune and Courtyard by Marriott Gurugram Downtown.
