Brazil’s GOL to Take Five A330-900neos, Including Two from Avianca

Brazilian airline GOL is preparing to expand its fleet with the addition of five Airbus A330‑900neo aircraft, including two that were previously associated with the Colombian carrier Avianca.

The aircraft are expected to support the airline’s plans to broaden its operational capabilities, particularly for longer‑haul routes. The introduction of widebody aircraft would represent a notable development for GOL, which has traditionally operated a narrowbody fleet focused primarily on Boeing 737 aircraft.

According to industry reports, two of the incoming A330‑900neos were originally linked to Avianca but are now expected to be transferred to GOL as part of updated fleet arrangements. The remaining aircraft will also join the Brazilian carrier as it evaluates opportunities to expand beyond its current network structure.
