Cebu Pacific Expands Capacity as Pratt & Whitney GTF Engine Pressures Ease

Cebu Pacific is increasing its flight capacity as operational pressures related to Pratt & Whitney GTF engine issues begin to ease.

The Philippine low‑cost carrier had previously faced disruptions due to problems affecting the geared turbofan (GTF) engines used on several aircraft types, particularly those in the Airbus A320neo family. These issues forced many airlines worldwide to temporarily ground aircraft for inspections and maintenance.

As the situation improves and more aircraft return to service, Cebu Pacific is gradually restoring flight capacity across its network. The airline expects the additional available aircraft to help meet growing travel demand.
