Russia’s S7 Airlines Considers Reviving LCC Plans with Tu‑214 Aircraft

Russia’s S7 Airlines is reportedly exploring the possibility of reviving its low-cost carrier (LCC) project, potentially using domestically manufactured Tu-214 aircraft.

The move comes as Russian airlines continue to reassess fleet strategies amid shifting market dynamics and aircraft supply constraints. The Tu-214, produced in Russia, has gained renewed attention as carriers look to strengthen reliance on locally built aircraft.
