Rio Perdido Appoints Randy Rockbrand as New General Manager

Costa Rica’s renowned eco-luxury retreat Rio Perdido has announced the appointment of Randy Rockbrand as its new General Manager, marking a significant leadership addition following the resort’s recent expansion of spa and wellness offerings.

Rockbrand brings with him 14 years of experience across operations and hospitality management. Prior to joining Rio Perdido, he most recently served as Operations Manager at Hospital San Rafael Arcángel in Guanacaste. He holds an MBA from Les Roches, Switzerland, one of the world’s most prestigious hospitality management institutions.

Born in San José and raised in Liberia, Rockbrand credits his strong local roots as a key strength in his new role. His deep understanding of Costa Rica’s culture, community, and environment positions him well to lead Rio Perdido into its next phase of growth while staying true to its eco-conscious philosophy.

Looking ahead, Rockbrand plans to build momentum around Rio Perdido’s unique natural setting by strengthening partnerships with local vendors and deepening engagement with the surrounding community. His leadership vision aligns closely with the property’s core values of sustainability, wellness, and harmony with nature.
