The nomination recognises his role in leading food and beverage service operations, team management and guest service delivery at the property.

The nomination acknowledges Banyal’s current position at Ramada Encore by Wyndham Chandigarh Zirakpur, where he has been serving as Restaurant Manager since December 2025. Based in the Chandigarh region, he is responsible for heading food and beverage service operations and overseeing daily restaurant functions, the company said.

Operational Responsibilities

Banyal leads restaurant operations, including supervising service teams, managing guest interactions and ensuring adherence to operational standards. His responsibilities include overseeing service delivery, maintaining quality benchmarks and coordinating departmental activities to support efficient operations.

He is also involved in staff training, operational planning and implementing service procedures aligned with organisational requirements.

Career Progression

Prior to his current role, Banyal served as Assistant Restaurant Manager at Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Chandigarh from October 2024 to December 2025. He also worked as Duty Manager – Operations at PVR INOX, Jammu, between June 2023 and September 2024, where he handled operational supervision and guest service management.

Earlier in his career, he held academic roles as Assistant Professor in hospitality institutions in Punjab and worked in food and beverage operations at Novotel Hyderabad Airport.

Banyal has experience across food and beverage service, operations management and hospitality training. He has participated in industry events and competitions, and has been involved in managing service operations across restaurants, events and guest service environments.

His exposure includes working in multiple hospitality segments, including hotel operations, academic training and service delivery in large-format establishments.

Education and Certifications

He holds a Master of Hotel Management and Catering Technology from IKGPTU Kapurthala and a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration from IHM Hamirpur. He has also completed WSET Level 1 certification in wines and participated in hospitality competitions and training programmes.
